Adam died tragically on 12 August 2005 at the age of 24. Following an evening of celebration (having completed a contract of work) Adam fell to his death from the roof of his 5th floor apartment in Pimlico, London. He is missed every single hour of every day by so many members of his family including Mum and Stepdad, Kaz and Rog; Dad and Stepmum, Zak and Eileen; Brothers and Sisters, Tomas, Ivana, Paul, Dan and Mel; Cousins Nicola, Robert and James; Grandparents, 'Grandad Whiskas', Granny Sheila and Mica; Aunties and Uncles, Dot and Mike, Lily and Peter. He is also missed by all his friends in the UK, Serbia, Croatia, and Australia..........

My Darling Adam,

It is impossible for me to pay fitting tribute to you.

Words cannot begin to express my feelings for you – how much I love you, how much you lit up my life - how much you filled the void within.

I know though that you meant so much to so many of us - those near and others much further away. Your whole being has touched us in so many different ways. You were, and still are in our hearts, a light that burns so bright.

All I can do here, I hope, is share some of my thoughts and cherished memories of you, the Matey Bob – I, your Mumsy knew and loved.

Many of us know and remember you as a strong macho type of guy, which you were - but there was such a wonderful soft and compassionate side to you.

As a small boy you had so many teddies and soft toys, all of which you had to say goodnight to individually by name. I always felt that it was some kind of ploy to stay up late but you of course insisted it was not.

You were – you are - such a loving son, never afraid to openly show affection for your family. You were never the sort of boy, or man, that walked 4 or 5 paces ahead of your parents – you were always up there with us – arm in arm, proud to be proud!

Whether in London, Torquay or Sombor you always embraced family life. Your family, all of us were immensely important to you and just as we loved you - you loved us.

Like any son though you gave us all our fair share of grey hairs - as you lived your life to the full – frequently at high speed – always fearlessly.

I remember you learning to climb on the beach – even before you could walk - still on all fours! Like a crab you went. It was always the highest rock – and then always a (carefully executed!) headfirst descent down the other side!

Learning to dive – you sought out the highest places, of course - higher than any of your mates or anyone else for that matter. If they could do it so could you and a bit higher too!

You so often used to take a tumble, off whatever contraption was getting you around at breakneck speed - but you would never complain, just get up and get back into the midst of life.

Whilst many of us here remember you as a little boy - in a very large sheepskin coat – looking as if you were about to topple over - others of us remember you older - as a bit of a cheeky geeza always β€˜up for it’ - whatever it was.

At work you were never afraid to try anything – to β€˜give it a go’ – and oh so frequently you managed to, as you used to say, β€˜pull it off’

I can hear you now – β€˜Chill Mumsy – No worries, I can pull that off’.

More recently you started your own business – I was so proud – especially when you called to discuss things over with me asking for my advice – not that you ever took it - but I think you thought it helped me to feel useful!!

Adam, you gave us all so much and we now pay tribute to you – it was an absolute privilege to know you my darling - I will love and cherish you forever – thanks Matey Bob.

And now my darling I must say farewell – not goodbye - because I believe you live on - around me and within me - and I will take comfort when I feel your touch – sense your strong arms around me or hear your voice unexpectedly in the days to come.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

God Bless you and your family Adam on this very special day. Shine that beautiful light all around them as they will be missing you more than ever today.

My Daughter was born the same year as you and I too know what it is like to have her taken from me and trying to cope with living without her so my heart goes out to your family.

A gift I cannot give to you
It should be your special day
But you're not here to share it
You had to go away
So Adam here's a thought for you
I wish you were still here
But I send you birthday wishes
As I know you're always near.

Have a lovely birthday in heaven.

good mate pommy

All of us boys from Shoalhaven Heads Australia were blessed with his company for his visits down under. He fit in with our group so well as we shared similar passions with our sports etc and we have endless funny memories in which we shared and still to this day we talk amongst our group of mates. You are sadly missed 'Pommy' but will never be forgotton mate.

Forever with us

Adam, your courage, humour, fun, love and charm are forever with us, defining our days and inspiring us to take that risk, to do something new, to be cheeky, to be our best and to love our family. Although physically you have gone, you are forever with us, our inspiration!! Love and miss you so much.

My daughter died in almost the same way last June, although not immediately - she was in hospital for six weeks following the fall. She was younger than Adam and also a beautiful person both inside and out.
I found the website by brother made for her helped me a great deal, especially the messages from her friends (www.lanamilne.com). I still can't believe she has gone, missing them is the hardest part.
My thoughts are with you.
